Chapter 1:
The Man of My Dreams

Have you ever had a dream that changed your life? Have you ever had a dream come true?

Everyone says they want to find the man or woman of their dreams. But what if it happened to you? What if you dreamt of a stranger you were supposed to marry—and then saw that person the next day? What would you do? Would you go up to them and say, “I just dreamt I’m supposed to marry you?” Or would you wait and watch, wondering what kind of person you had dreamt about?

Twin Souls and Twin Flames

Here is an excerpt from an illuminating article posted on Indigo Orbit about the difference, if any, between twin souls and twin flames.

If you remember, in my book When We Were Gods, I describe my 40-day manifestation prayer in which I asked to find my twin soul. As a result of praying this 40-day prayer, I literally ran into the stranger I had encountered in my dream about a year earlier.

Twin flames—twin souls? Are they different? NO. They are one and the same thing. Saying one is different from the other is false. What you want to call a man and a woman who share one Higher Self and who generate violet flame heart energy is a matter of semantics. A rose by any other name, right? Don’t let people start playing games with your head about stuff like that. Someone’s always going to have some alternative take on some topic or other, and since twin flames are all the rage right now, people are trying their hand at the Aristotelian exercise of building a spiritual taxonomy of what is what.

Back to Straighten Out Some Stuff . . .

Speaking of dreams, the above article also explains that a twin ray is “your twin that you haven’t met in the 3D world that you meet in dreams.”

Mary and Jesus Twin Souls

I just received emails with attachments of photographs of two paintings by the same artist. One painting is of Mother Mary, the other is of Jesus.

They are great! I love that the paintings of Mary and Jesus show a family resemblance. How unique! They look like mother and son. Why not! Of course, in Michelangelo’s Pieta, they also look very similar, as they should. However, I often find artists depicting them as individuals who don’t look related.

In these paintings sent to me, Mary and Jesus have such a strong family resemblance they I am immediately reminded that they were Twin Souls, which is what they were, according to Edgar Cayce.

MERCURY RETROGRADE FEEDBACK

I felt happy to receive the following email showing that I’m not the only one diverting my energy into organizing and cleaning during this Mercury Retrograde:

“I feel like there is so much I am suppose to be doing of great significance…and am sitting here getting organized…and keep asking myself…”What’s the point of getting all this stuff done..??”  Thanks for the message.  I shall plunge forward !!”

Is anyone else feeling the effects of Mercury Retrograde perhaps with travel delays or communications misunderstands?

TWIN SOULS STORY OF THE WITCH AND THE SORCERER DWARF

I enjoyed emails about twin souls. It is such a fascinating subject and one that resonates with many of us. Here are excerpts from two interesting emails with insightful views:

“In the desire for God to be part of ‘physicality’ the one had to become two—since we incarnate into a plane of duality. . . .  A physical plane of manifestation requires a ‘binding’ to it.  By being a part of it, we become dual expressions; physical and spiritual.”

and

“I was told back in the 50’s that the monads from a intuitive psychic level, look like light beings that are shaped like walnuts standing on end;  they are four sections of them. the Twin souls that incarnate and the Twin alchemical mates which make up our super consciousness beings.”

I feel grateful and happy to receive wonderful emails such as these three. Please feel free to write to me or to comment on my blog at http://www.CarolChapmanLive.com.

Twin Soul Separations and the Root Races

I am reading a lovely book by Joan Clarke called Twin Soul Separation. Part poetry and part prose, it recounts the author’s memories of  her soul’s separation into two twin souls.

Like my books, The Golden Ones and its revised, updated version When We Were Gods, it also describes her recollections of her experiences in the previous root races.

For an interesting past life regression story of memories of the root races, check out my book When We Were Gods. In it I recount my experiences when I went to a hypnotherapist to lose weight. When she put me in deep hypnosis, I not only connected with previous lifetimes that contributed to my present problems with overweight, but also the fabulous world of Atlantis where I wasn’t even human but an animal mixture that I called a “Pixie-face frog being.”

Twin Souls: When Love Incarnates

I like that the following selection equates the union of Twin Souls with Service. Somewhere, perhaps in Edgar Cayce’s psychic readings, I read that as a soul progresses toward leaving the reincarnation cycle, the incarnation of twins is less often as lovers and more often in a relationship in which they work together to provide service to others. One example would be Edgar Cayce and his secretary Gladys Davis. Another example would be Edgar’s son Hugh Lynn Cayce, who had so much to do with developing Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., and his mother Gertrude, Edgar’s wife.

The Union of the Twin Flame is one of Service. It should not be romanticized in the context by which one perceives the male and female relationship. The Service of the Twin Flame is not only planetary but also cosmic and Universal.
The Twin Soul connection is always a triad involving the Divine Spirit / All That Is.

Do you know? Have you read this too? That twin souls are more likely to incarnate with the purpose of service rather than romantic love the nearer the soul comes to leaving the reincarnation cycle? If so, where did you see it? The Cayce readings?

Soul Mate Predestined According to the Talmud

Because I met my husband first in a dream before I encountered him in waking life I have wondered about soul mates and twin souls.  The dream told me about his home, his dog, his best friend, his work, and showed me how he looked. I was delighted to find this description of a soul mate from the Jewish tradition:

Feeling a divine spark might be what is expected when is one finds their Basherte. Beshert is the Yiddish term for pre-destined. But most people know it in its common usage: A Besherte is the person you are pre-destined to marry via a mandate from Heaven. The Talmud tells us that 40 days before the creation of an embryo, one’s marriage partner is determined. This is taken to mean that everyone has their soul-mate in this world… which is up to them to find and marry.

(From the blog of Harry Maryles at http://haemtza.blogspot.com/)

Mr. Maryles describes the Basherte as an unrealistic expectation of perfection in marriage. I agree that perfection in marriage is an unrealistic expectation even with the “Man of my Dreams.” At first, I did expect he would be a “Knight in Shining Armor” because he had come to my attention as if from the divine. However,  I discovered, that we are very different in our natures and are not a perfect match, except, perhaps, in our very stubborn natures.

We may be souls that were pre-destined to marry before conception. And, there was a sense of recognition when I finally mustered enough courage to approach him. He said that when he was with me, he had a feeling of deja vu.

Part of the divine plan may have been to help us grow spiritually as we worked out our differences, which we have managed to do for 14 years.

Meeting Soul Mates

Often people think of a soul mate relationship as being between lovers. However, just about anyone you have a soulful relationship with is likely someone you have known in a previous life.

Almost surely your parents, brothers and sisters, and children are souls you have known before as well. Close friends and lovers also qualify.

Sometimes, you meet someone and there’s an immediate attraction. This may not necessarily be a sexual attraction either. Even with friendships there is often a feeling almost of love at first sight as you recognize, on a soul level, that this is someone you know. You feel fascinated by them.

I remember being six years old on my first day at a new school. Standing at the door to the classroom, was the most beautiful little girl with blue-black hair dressed in a flouncy lemon yellow dress.  I felt instantly fascinated in her.

We became the deepest of friends. Scarcely a weekend went by without one or the other spending the night at the other friend’s house. That’s soul mates.
