I am in the process of working on publishing a personal experience book of a woman’s story of living in the Yucatan with a Mayan husband for the last 18 years. It is a heartwarming and also informational book. In going over her photographs, I am happy and nostalgic for the wonderful people we met in Yucatan.
Although it’s been nine months since we returned from our last trip to the Yucatan, I just came across some photographs I have yet to download and back up. So, I have been busy tonight. And, I have still more to do.
Today, when I turned on my computer in preparation for editing the Yucatan Travel Movie, I was shocked to see a prompt saying that there was something wrong with the computer.
I almost went into a warp-drive panic!
Fortunately, I could call my trusty tech support at Dell . . . and, I discovered that even though the prompt appeared to be giving a message of doom and gloom, it was actually a relatively frequent prompt, i.e., I had not lost all my work. He suggested I shut down and start it again.
It worked!!! Yay!
I did lose all the editing I did yesterday because . . . and this is definitely a lesson to me . . . I forgot to back up the file.
I backed it up today!!! Twice!!!

Today, I sorted through photographs of the world-famous Chichen Itza Equinox Event. We were in Chichen Itza for the Spring Equinox this year when the sunlight formed the pattern of a serpent’s body on the stone serpent whose body rises up the side of the stairs on the Pyramid of Kulkulkan. This was an event that required a lot of jostling and justling in the crowd to get the photo without someone’s else from the crowd getting in the way.
Today, I was learning how to make titles for the Yucatan Travel Movie. I am using Sony Vegas Platinum Pro 9 software. It is very much a learning experience but I am making progress . . . and, it is fun!
I love digital! It is so much easier than film, which is the medium on which I originally learned how to make movies.

I’ll arrive in Anchorage today. For a number of days, I will be traveling on the Kenai Peninsula taking photographs for next year’s Edgar Cayce Calendar.
Then, starting on Friday, August 14, at 7:00 p.m., I will be sharing my knowledge, expertise, and experience on the intuitive connection with the Creative Forces through dreams in a free program, The Dream Connection, followed by the weekend seminar, “Everyone Has a Book in Them.”

Totem pole carving is not a dead art only relegated to ancient totem poles displayed in museums. Totem poles are living things created by modern-day master carvers such as Chief of Chiefs Chester Moore.
We interviewed Chester on videotape in his home village of Kinkolith, on the mighty and cold Nass River, which empties into the Pacific Ocean south of the Alaska panhandle.
The Nisga’a tribe, of which Chester is a member, is separated into four clans: Wolf, Eagle, Raven, and Killer Whale. Chester is Chief of Chiefs of the Frog Clan which is interrelated with the Raven clan.
Knowing that there is a frog clan makes me feel good since I had memories of being a frog / human mixture during my past life regressions of Atlantis. I wrote about my memories of Atlantis in both my books: When We Were Gods and Arrival of the Gods in Egypt.
Here are my photographs of a couple of the amazing animals carved on Chester’s magnificent totem pole.
Two fierce ravens adorn the top of the totem pole. They look over to the snow-capped mountains on the other side of the Nass River in Northern British Columbia.
Chester pointed out to me that this is a metaphysical frog since it has human faces in its eyes.

Remember I said I became so excited that, when I tried to take the photograph of the deer in the woods, I did something wrong with the settings on my camera with the result that only a black image came up on the digital feedback screen of my camera?
Well, it turned out that I was able to get an image by using the photo processing software on my home computer.
Here it is. Isn’t he magnificent!
By the way, although it looks as if he might be a metaphysical deer because his eyes are glowing, the glow is actually caused by the flash from my camera.

Here’s a photograph of the silver fox pups on the side of the road.
Actually, I do not really know if their are specifically “silver” foxes. I called them silver foxes in my last post because their mother, who is not in the photo, has long silver fur on her body.
Note the white tip on the end of the tail.
Two fox pups we encountered on the road between Kinkolith and New Aiyansh in northern British Columbia, Canada. This is an area that is as far north as the Alaska panhandle and very worth visiting for the magnificent mountain and river scenery, wildlife and, this time of year, salmon fishing.

We flew into Terrace, which was like a totally different world compared to Victoria’s waterfront flowers and tourists. Now, we’re in Port Hardy after spending the day yesterday on a cruise-ship type ferry going from Prince Rupert. We enjoyed the gorgeous northern views and overate at the scrumptious buffets.
Today, we’re spending another day going on the Northern Expedition going back to Prince Rupert and then driving through mist-enshrouded mountains back to Terrace and then on to visit my girlfriend who works with the First Nations people of the Nass River, the Nisga’a, some of whom are totem pole carvers.
