A miracle occurs every day but few people see it.
I must admit that I got out of the habit of waking up before dawn in order to see the world go from dark to light. Even though I wrote about the importance of this simple, easy, but also deeply effective exercise in When We Were Gods, I had gone back to my old ways of being a night owl and waking up with the sun already high in the sky.
In my defense, we are now close to the autumnal equinox when the day and night are almost the same length. Therefore, waking up at 6:00 a.m. to watch a 6:45 sunrise is no hardship. And, I can imagine that if I lived in some northern clime such as Alaska, where the sun is in the sky most of the time in the summer, it would be impossible to start my day at sunrise. In fact, in many a Northern place, the sky does not become dark at all during the night.
However, I live in the middle of the North American continent where I don’t really have an excuse for neglecting my “Sunrise Greeting” during the summer . . . and I miss it.
It is such a lovely way of infusing my mind and my body with hope. Dear, sweet hope. The hope that my soul knows. The hope the my soul yearns to feel a resonance from my mind and body. The hope that can be hard to come by with a life that contains disappointments, violent television programs, heartbreaking movies, and complaining associates, plus lifelong mental habits in resonance with my environments instead of in resonance with the truth within me.
So today, I awoke with a few stars still shining in a grey sky. The dark before the dawn. I did my morning exercises on the deck as I awaited the big event. I felt happy to see that a number of people had also awoken to greet the dawn. A young man with a camera leapt about, knelt, and framed a photo with beach grass in the foreground, as other people simply sat and waited. I enjoyed the feeling of silent comraderie.
A bank of clouds hugged the horizon. Would the clouds hide the sun when it popped its glowing head above the ocean?
Eureka! A raspberry red crescent appeared at the horizon. This was going to be a great show!
I lifted my arms above my head three times to say, “God is Greater,” as I had been instructed by the spiritual guides in my hypnosis sessions.
The young man with the camera knelt in the sand just above the crashing waves. I wanted to, Mom-like, shout to him, “Do not stare at the sun!” lest he hurt his vision but managed to keep my mouth shut. He is a grown-up. He has his own path to walk.
Because of the clouds at the horizon, the glowing cherry-red sun squeezed through the horizon with bands of cloud across its face. What a Drama Queen that sun is!
It is a good life!

My husband John took these photos of the totem pole carved by Chief Chester Moore and of Chief Chester Moore in his regalia.
John took these photographs while I was interviewing Chief Moore on videotape.
Chester Moore is Chief of Chiefs of the frog clan of the Nisga’a First Nations people. Note the carved frog face making up his headdress.
This is a view of most of the totem pole looking up. Can you see the ravens on the top and the smiling metaphysical frog half way up? I posted close ups of the raven and the metaphysical frog on August 3, 2009.

I would like a way for all of us to communicate. I have received many emails from people saying how much they are enjoying the emails I’m sending out and also how wonderful it is for them to learn of other people who share similar interests or who can also see orbs or who have had similar experiences.
Those of you who receive these emails are in as diverse places as Alaska and Nova Scotia and even as far afield as Africa and Australia. There are so many of us of like mind who would like to be in touch with each other.
Therefore, I came upon the idea of having a no cost to you telephone seminar twice a month – on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday. By no cost, I mean that I am providing the service without cost. It will still cost you a long distance call the same as if you would call your Aunt Geraldine. Fortunately, many people have unlimited long distance or inexpensive calling cards or a generous number of minutes on their cell phones that a couple of hours a month will not be a problem.
This will work for some people and not for others. However, it’s a beginning.
I wanted to focus the calls on a specific topic so I chose dreams since most of us dream and dreams are one way spirit can communicate with us. Even if a person does not remember their dreams regularly, they may have insights into the interpretation of someone else’s dream. I also chose dreams because I have received helpful guidance in my dreams. With so much happening in the world right now, we, as a group, might come up with collective dreams that will be helpful to us all.
You are invited to participate whether you have a dream to share or not. You may only want to listen. That’s all right. It’s all about getting together and helping each other out.
In each session, I will also have a guest. The scenario is as follows:
The first session will be on Tuesday, February 10th at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time. I’ll send more information as the time draws near.

Yes, I know I promised the completion of the Psychic Soul Dream Course in January. However, like many people in the new year, I began with New Years Resolutions. Except that, in my case, I made spiritual resolutions by starting the new year with a 40 day prayer.
This prayer is similar to the 40 Day Manifestation Prayer that brought me to the man I was to marry as described in When We Were Gods.
As a result, I thought that a book on the 40 day prayers and its originator, J. Everett Irion, would be more appropriate for January. It’s called Change Your Life in 40 Days.
It’s almost done – an easily downloadable ebook. I just have to make the web site to make it available to you. It should be ready, Mercury Retrograde willing, next week.

Here’s an excellent article from Astrology Alive on Mercury Retrograde:
What can we experience during Mercury retrogrades? – most often, increased frustration, interruptions and snafu’s that make even simple projects seem impossible You will need more caution, more care, and a pinch more of elbow grease to get things done. Typically there are delays, interferences, miscommunications (especially for those of us with strong Virgo or Gemini in our charts (Mercury is the ruler of these two signs). It is not a good time to launch or initiate new projects. You will be pushing off, symbolically, just when the tide is going out, and it will be more of a strain to make headway with your plan – better to wait until the current is moving with you.
AA! – Astrology Alive! Mercury Retrograde Article (September)
The article goes on to say that the areas you need to be especially careful with are:
1. If you must sign a contract during this time, diligently check the details
2. Decisions you make may need to be reversed when the retrograde period ends so try not to make any major decisions
3. It’s not a good time to send out marketing or public relations materials because they may be misunderstood, you may get little response for your effort, or you may have to make last minute changes
4. Back up everything on your computer. This is a time when the hard drive or software may fail.
In fact, I just experienced a typical Mercury Retrograde snafu. The first time I hit “publish” to publish this post on my blog, nothing happened except that I received a prompt saying “unable to connect to the remote server.”
Typical!!
That was yesterday. The computer had time to sleep over night. Hopefully it’s refreshed today. I’m going to try it again. Wish me well.

I found this article interesting. It says that teens and adults seem to be happier if they participate in institutional religious practices. However, researchers have found that “religiousness” does not affect a child’s happiness.
Their research shows that children who feel that their lives have meaning and value and who develop deep, quality relationships – both measures of spirituality – are happier. It would appear, however, that their religious practices have little effect on their happiness.
Researchers look at relationship between spirituality, religiousness and happiness in children

Marilyn Ferguson, whose best-selling book “The Aquarian Conspiracy” helped establish the New Age movement by tying together its disparate threads, has died. She was 70.
Ferguson died Oct. 19 at her home in western Riverside County. She is believed to have died of a heart attack, her son, Eric, told the Los Angeles Times.
“The Aquarian Conspiracy,” published in 1980, was the first comprehensive analysis of the various unconnected efforts – such as scientists investigating biofeedback, midwives running alternative birthing centers and a Christian evangelist promoting meditation – that would coalesce into the New Age movement
FresnoBee.com: California: New Age author Marilyn Ferguson dies at 70
Do you remember your reaction when you first heard about or read Marilyn Ferguson’s The Aquarian Conspiracy?
For me, it was a pivotal moment in my life. I hadn’t even read her book yet, just read a blurb for it, but the information was absolutely galvanizing. Until that moment, I did not know there were other people all over the world who were meditating regularly, birthing alternatively and using natural as well as conventional medical solutions.
What about you? Do you remember how much her book changed your life?

Today, I received an email from Heidi Dudgeon telling me how much she enjoyed reading When We Were Gods, which she had purchased at Edgar Cayce’s online A.R.E. Bookstore.
She also sent a couple of pictures of her amazing artwork. It turns out Heidi is an artist with a psychic bent. She tells me that she will first see, in her mind’s eye, something like a slide show of many different paintings. Out of these possibilities, she will choose one to make into an actual physical work of art.
I’m not surprised that the inspiration for her artwork comes to her intuitively. Edgar Cayce said that creativity was an expression of the soul as much as is psychic ability. And that creative expression can be a way toward psychic development.
Take a look at some of Heidi’s paintings on her web site at: http://hwdudgeon.blogspot.com.
I love how she lists each individual work of art with an accompanying inspirational quote. The quotations she’s chosen are superb. Many are from my heroes such as Carl Jung, Harriet Tubman, George Bernard Shaw and the Bible.
I also love how her paintings are like mandalas or tarot cards in that there are so many symbols in them. It you look at the paintings for a while, you will see all kinds of fascinating images you didn’t see at first.
For example, take a look at the one called, “The Mothers,” which Heidi says parallels some of the information in my book When We Were Gods, which has a chapter called, “A Message from Pan,” is about awakening the Golden Ones and the birth of a new world.
Here’s what Heidi says about “The Mothers:” The image of “The Mothers” is about a third of the way down the page at http://hwdudgeon.blogspot.com.
“The angel is a pregnant mother earth resurrecting humanity through compassion… as shown as the mothers below in prayer. The goat, representing Pan, or the life sustaining animal is pictured tolling the bells to awaken people. His collar in numbers spells the word pray as if to say, pray for the earth, the children and the new life that will soon be resurrected by the divine mother (within us all.)” ~ Heidi Dudgeon, the artist

It’s time for another inspirational quote from Edgar Cayce. There’s so much going on right now, every time I look at the news I want to turn it off. You probably need a bit of inspiration and upliftment now as well. Edgar Cayce’s psychic readings contain so many words of wisdom. I especially like this inspirational message because it reminds me to take it easy and lay back a bit.
” . . . budget the time so that there may be a regular period for sustaining the physical being and also for sustaining the mental and spiritual being. As is necessary for recreation and rest for the physical, so it is necessary that there be recreation and rest for the mental.” Edgar Cayce Reading 3691-1
Take a look at the lovely photograph illustrating the inspirational quotation. It’s the photograph for the month of February in the 2009 Edgar Cayce Calendar. I took this photograph while on a glacier-watching boat tour in Alaska. These sealions sure know how to budget a regular period for rest!
