Are Children Happier if they are raised in a religious environment?

I found this article interesting. It says that teens and adults seem to be happier if they participate in institutional religious practices. However, researchers have found that “religiousness” does not affect a child’s happiness.

Their research shows that children who feel that their lives have meaning and value and who develop deep, quality relationships – both measures of spirituality – are happier. It would appear, however, that their religious practices have little effect on their happiness.
