Following, please find a description of my recent event, Everyone Has a Book in Them, in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, on April 14th, sponsored by the Nanaimo Metaphysical Network. The description is followed by comments from participants:
Everyone Has a Book in Them
During this all-day event, Carol gave individuals the boost they needed to get going on that book they’ve always meant to write. Carol shared information she has learned on her path to becoming a published author and then becoming a publisher at SunTopaz. The seminar focused on expressing creativity through writing, steps to begin and continuing writing, options for producing and promoting a written work, as well as making an author more publishable.
Some of the comments Carol received from the participants are:
“Carol is an amazing speaker—passionate—ease and flow in her presentation—inspiring.”
“Love the [writing] exercises and Carol’s authenticity and presence.”
“I feel confident and inspired! I enjoyed the program—glad I came. Thank you, Carol!”

I continue to prepare for my speaking engagements in Nanaimo, British Columbia, April 14th to 21st. As I went over what I’m going to share with participants of the Saturday, April 14th all-day event Everyone Has a Book in Them, I especially enjoyed this inspirational quote from Andre Dubus, author of A Father’s Story:
“Don’t quit. It’s very easy to quit during the first 10 years. Nobody cares whether you write or not, and it’s very hard to write when nobody cares one way or the other. You can’t get fired if you don’t write, and most of the time you don’t get rewarded if you do. But don’t quit.”
—Andre Dubus
How do you like that–10 years! Well, actually, in a way that is inspirational. When I have read the biographies of so many writers and creative people, they have pressed on year after year, before they were successful. And, as this quote says, they may also press on year after year, and get no rewards for their effort.
But, there is always the joy of connecting with one’s inner muse!

I look forward to giving my Everyone Has a Book in Them all-day event in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, on April 14th at 10 a.m., sponsored by the Nanaimo Metaphysical Network. As I prepare for it, I think back to the time when I was just starting to write my first book, The Golden Ones: From Atlantis to a New World. At the time, I found it so difficult to get down to writing.
When I look back, I can see that writing this almost daily blog has really helped with the writing process. Now that I have to sit down and write something most days for this blog, I find that sitting down and writing my next book, marketing material for the book, or working on my latest movie is relatively easy. My creativity flows much easier. Hopefully, I can help others to make their writing process easier.

Today, I’m preparing for my one-day talk in Nanaimo, British Columbia, on Saturday, April 14th, 2012, sponsored by the Nanaimo Metaphysical Network. I will be speaking on Everyone Has a Book in Them, one of my favorite topics, because it is much more than a seminar on writing your book and getting it published. It is also about honoring your innate creativity, an attribute of your soul.

In preparing for my Everyone Has a Book in Them all-day event in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, next month (April 2012), I am reminded of Edgar Cayce’s reading extolling the virtues of following impulses from the Creative Forces:

A Mother Moose and her Calf frolic past the door of the ATOM Center in Anchorage, Alaska
I have been trying to get a photograph of a moose since my honeymoon 15 years ago. We went to Newfoundland where it was cool in July compared to the steamy summer weather in the South.
The whole time we were in Newfoundland, I drove with the camera on my knee hoping to get a great nature photograph of a moose.
On the highway, we saw one far in the distance munching on water plants in a swamp. However, we sped by it in the car too quickly to take a photo.
As a result, we decided to ply the many secondary by-ways, and even ventured on a few gravel roads, always searching for that elusive moose.
Now, 15 years later, this mother moose and her youngster appeared at my doorstep 15 minutes before my speaking event, “Everyone Has a Book in Them,” a two-day workshop program in the ATOM Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The Alaskans, who had arrived for the program early, thought that likely the mother and her baby were on their way to a nearby lake. It seems that moose events are rather common in Anchorage.
The ATOM Center is in town at 4025 Raspberry Road, kiddie-corner and behind the Tastee Freeze. And here they were – mama and baby! Definitely an auspicious event just as the program was about to begin!
At it turned out, it was a wonderful weekend where I met creative, energetic people who are excited about getting their ideas out of their heads and onto the pages of a book.

Well, I am “wiped out” after the long “red eye” flight from Anchorage. It is good to be home. I feel very happy because the “Everything Has a Book in Them” seminar went so well and because I met many wonderful and talented people. But now, it is time to rest.

I am happy to say that I am back online again. The company that hosts my web sites was changing servers so my blog was unavailable for a while.
Also, I have been very busy here in Alaska and so have not been able to send my emails. I have been giving the “Everyone Has A Book in Them” program at the ATOM Center and enjoying visiting with the many wonderful people I have met in Anchorage before and met anew during my current visit. Plus, I had the opportunity to visit the Kenai peninsula to take photographs.
It has been a wonderful visit. There is so much to report, from having a mother moose and her calf turn up outside the front door of the ATOM Center the morning of the “Everyone Has A Book in Them” Event – my Alaska friends think the mama and her baby were on the way to the nearby lake (I should have a photo to show you when I get home) – to the flying bald eagle I photographed in Homer, AK, one of the most beautiful places on earth, to the wonderful experience of being with people who are glowing with creativity and talent.
Today, I have 3 private sessions and then I graciously receive a ride to the airport. I know I will be back.
