Marilyn Ferguson, Best-selling Author of the Aquarian Conspiracy Dies at 70

Marilyn Ferguson, whose best-selling book “The Aquarian Conspiracy” helped establish the New Age movement by tying together its disparate threads, has died. She was 70.

Ferguson died Oct. 19 at her home in western Riverside County. She is believed to have died of a heart attack, her son, Eric, told the Los Angeles Times.

“The Aquarian Conspiracy,” published in 1980, was the first comprehensive analysis of the various unconnected efforts – such as scientists investigating biofeedback, midwives running alternative birthing centers and a Christian evangelist promoting meditation – that would coalesce into the New Age movement

Do you remember your reaction when you first heard about or read Marilyn Ferguson’s The Aquarian Conspiracy?

For me, it was a pivotal moment in my life. I hadn’t even read her book yet, just read a blurb for it, but the information was absolutely galvanizing. Until that moment, I did not know there were other people all over the world who were meditating regularly, birthing alternatively and using natural as well as conventional medical solutions.

Reincarnation Past Life Memory of Holocaust

I feel grateful to have found this post because I, too, have remembered being in a concentration camp during the holocaust. Unlike Melissa Kitto, I was a mature adult. However, in my memory, I felt very sad for the children in the camp. I had had a full life and had raised a family who were now adults. I felt sad and afraid for the children in the camp – afraid that they would die before they lived a full life. 

Steven Spielberg’s movie Schindler’s List meant so much to me because I got to see that some of the children did survive.   

Then I experienced a past life regression technique. I remembered my most recent lifetime. I was a Jew in hiding during the holocaust. I was just a child at the time, and my family and I moved to two or three different hiding places during the war. A family friend who we thought could be trusted separated my brother and I from my parents and due to his carelessness we were captured and taken to a concentration camp.

Huge UFO reported near Ohio River

Along the Ohio River, at the nexus of the borders of Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, a huge object said to be “about the size of a large shopping mall and parking lot” was reportedly sighted in the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 24, by a military veteran who worked in the helicopter aviation field while in the military.

Mysterious Orbs Appear on Brown Mountain near Charlotte, North Carolina

Here’s a link to a video about mysterious orbs of light that move around on a mountain near Charlotte, North Carolina. Evidently, the Cherokee Native Americans were the first to report the lighted orbs 800 years ago. The orbs appear on the mountain at a place where there is no electricity and no homes.

The video is a story from WCNC, the local news station for Charlotte, North Carolina. The news station aired the Brown Mountain Orb story, very appropriately, on Halloween Night.   

Watch this story and see for yourself. Are these orbs the spirits of the dead lost in battle? Are they the lights of love that never dies? Was this such a tragic loss of life that even after death their lives somehow inexplicably remain on the mountainside?

Mayan Prophecies: November 11, 2008 Day of Emergence

Anybody heard of this? That November 11, 2008 – basically, just around the corner – is an important day in the Mayan Prophecies?

All I can say is that this part of year 2008 has sure been a shakedown period!

I like the conclusion of the post which says:

Crop Circles in the USA 2008

Recently, I had a discussion with some friends about crop circles. I thought crop circles were only in England and located close to Stonehenge. However, my friends insisted that crop circles had been found in many countries throughout the world. Not only that, they were sure that some had been found in the USA.

Well, wouldn’t you know it! My friends are right and I’m wrong!

Creativity and Psychic Ability are Both Expressions of the Soul

Today, I received an email from Heidi Dudgeon telling me how much she enjoyed reading When We Were Gods, which she had purchased at Edgar Cayce’s online A.R.E. Bookstore.

She also sent a couple of pictures of her amazing artwork. It turns out Heidi is an artist with a psychic bent. She tells me that she will first see, in her mind’s eye, something like a slide show of many different paintings. Out of these possibilities, she will choose one to make into an actual physical work of art.

I’m not surprised that the inspiration for her artwork comes to her intuitively. Edgar Cayce said that creativity was an expression of the soul as much as is psychic ability. And that creative expression can be a way toward psychic development.

I love how she lists each individual work of art with an accompanying inspirational quote. The quotations she’s chosen are superb. Many are from my heroes such as Carl Jung, Harriet Tubman, George Bernard Shaw and the Bible.

 I also love how her paintings are like mandalas or tarot cards in that there are so many symbols in them. It you look at the paintings for a while, you will see all kinds of fascinating images you didn’t see at first.

For example, take a look at the one called, “The Mothers,” which Heidi says parallels some of the information in my book When We Were Gods, which has a chapter called, “A Message from Pan,” is about awakening the Golden Ones and the birth of a new world.

Aliens and UFOs Disclosed in Foreign Media

 I don’t know if this is genuine or merely the rantings of a madman, but this web site has a YouTube video promoting a $29.95 movie about a man named James Gilliland who says he has had contact with aliens. The movie is available at http://www.contacthasbegun.com. The YouTube video covers the following excerpt from a blog post on http://www.warthofthelichking.com (What is a Warth or a Lich King?). Anyway, this is interesting especially that the aliens, according to Gilliland, want to share with us their knowledge of how to achieve peace on earth.

This is the part that’s not covered, that’s not coming out – the fearlessness it takes to bring this message out to the public is not there in our mainstream media. Why is it that in Mexico, UFO sightings are a normal part of the news coverage? In France and England, the Government’s previously classified UFO files are starting to be disclosed. But in the US press, talk of extraterrestrials, UFOs sightings, crop circles, ETs and alien contact is still a joke, when discussed at all.

Corroboration of Cairo Rioting Found

As I said yesterday, about my latest book Arrival of the Gods in Egypt:

While writing this book, I looked online for documentation of the rioting in Cairo and found none. I also could not find documentation supporting a declaration of war by Israel.

By chance, I met a young man who happened to be in Egypt almost at the same time I was there in October 2000. I flew out of Cairo the morning of October 1st. He arrived four days later on October 5th. And, he definitely corroborated my memories of the reports of rioting in Cairo. He said that he had been closely following the BBC reports on the rioting in Cairo before he left for his Egyptian tour because there was a good chance his tour would be canceled.

In fact, when I returned to North American from Egypt, I discovered that some Egyptian tours had been canceled because of the rioting.

However, when I wrote Arrival of the Gods in Egypt, I could not find documentation of the rioting on the Internet. I began to wonder if my memories that there had been rioting were incorrect or perhaps exaggerated. Therefore, I felt happy to meet another person who had been in Cairo in October 2000. It felt good to know that his memories coincided with mine. I now feel secure to say that it truly was a time of strained relationships between countries in the Middle East.
