Here’s more on NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell’s statement that aliens exist, they have visited earth many times and that our governments are covering up the information:

“I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we’ve been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real,” Dr Mitchell said.
“It’s been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it’s leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.
“I’ve been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes – we have been visited. Reading the papers recently, it’s been happening quite a bit.”

Apollo 14 Moonwalker Claims Aliens Exist

Do you think aliens exist on earth? If so, why?

In the following excerpt from http://slashdot.org, a NASA astronaut who has walked on the moon, claims that he knows that aliens exist.

An anonymous reader writes “Former NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr Edgar Mitchell — a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission — has stunningly claimed aliens exist. And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions — but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades. Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as ‘little people who look strange to us.'”

Visit to Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.

I always love visiting Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment. Their headquarters is in Virginia Beach. I had the good fortune to see a number of wonderful people there plus return the books I had borrowed from their lending library. I believe their library is the largest metaphysical library in North America. Whether it is or not, they always have so many titles I’m interested in, I find it difficult to restrict myself to their four-book limit.

2012 Traveler in Guatemala Wonders Whether to go to Mexico

In a July 29, 2008 blog post, Juan Valdez says he’s presently in Guatemala. He contemplates going north into the Mexican state of Chiapas.

I am thinking of going north into Chiapas in Mexico but am not sure I will learn much more about the Maya Long Count and the 2012 cataclysm being forecast by some, because less than 25% of the inhabitants of the province are of Maya decent and most of them don’t even speak Spanish.

The reason I find this excerpt interesting is that, based on my reading, I thought that the inhabitants of Chiapas were especially dedicated to preserving their culture. In addition, I’d read that many of the Mayan people, continued to dress in colorful traditional outfits decorated with local designs, are especially reluctant to be treated as fodder for tourists’ cameras.

I guess I assumed this meant that the state of Chiapas was a Mayan stronghold. But, what do I know? I’m just reading and this fellow is there. What does he mean by saying that most of them don’t even speak Spanish? That they speak only Mayan and therefore he can’t converse with them so why go to Chiapas, anyway? Or, that they speak English and therefore aren’t in touch with their Mayan roots so they wouldn’t know anything about the Maya Long Count Calendar or 2012?

Something else I found interesting–further in his blog he says that because he’s in the mountains in Guatemala, it’s cool. Amazing! I’m sitting in Virginia where it’s very hot but we’re so much farther north than Guatemala.

Underground Caves in Yucatan

As I said yesterday, Edgar Cayce, America’s “sleeping prophet” said in trance that records left by Atlanteans could be found in Yucatan, Mexico.

It turns out that Yucatan is riddled with extensive underground cave systems. I wonder if the ancient Atlanteans placed their records in one of these caves. Some of the caves extend for miles underground and also include underground rivers.

Mexican Underground Cave System: Lost Records from Atlantis?

In referring to my previous post of July 30, 2008, I quoted an excerpt from a article posted on Yahoo News proclaiming that archeologists are reopening a secret cave under a Mexican pyramid. My comments included the following:

How exciting! I wonder if the archeologists will discover a tomb as they did in Palenque, which was also in a hollowed out area under the Pyramid of Inscriptions.

I also wondered if this cave could contain the Records from Atlantis, which Edgar Cayce, the “sleeping prophet” said would be found somewhere in Yucatan, Mexico.

For years, I’ve been fascinated with Cayce’s psychic readings on Atlantis that said that there were three places on earth where inhabitants of Atlantis had left records of their civilization.

In Egypt, presently buried close to the Great Sphinx
Off the coast of the Bimini Islands in the Bahamas buried under the slime of the Atlantic Ocean
Yucatan, Mexico, under or in a temple (or pyramid–he sometimes uses the words “temple” and “pyramid” interchangeably) that may have slid into the sea during earth upheavals

Because the cave undergoing recent excavations is in Teotihuacan, which is close to Mexico City and therefore NOT in the Mexican state of Yucatan, I doubt that records from Atlantis will be found here.

Nonetheless, it does remind me that the whole of the Yucatan Peninsula, which includes the Yucatan State, is riddled with underground caves where the Atlantean records may be hidden.
