I just found out: I will be speaking at the Edgar Cayce Forum on the last Wednesday of March, 2011 at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The topic: Searching for Clues from Edgar Cayce and Mythology on the Connection between the Yucatan with Atlantis and Lemuria.

One of my favorite places to visit in the Yucatan is Izamal, the yellow city. All the downtown buildings are painted yellow in Izamal, as is the Convent of Padua. It houses the Virgin of Izamal.
Although I have never seen her story written up in a book on apparitions of the Virgin Mary, I think she should be. Like the Czestochowa “Black Madonna” of Poland, the Izamal virgin became too heavy to move, thereby showing its desire to remain in Izamal. It is a statue originally made in Guatemala.
In the Yucatan Travel Movie, we visit Izamal during the December celebration of the Virgin of Izamal.

I really love this inspirational Edgar Cayce quote about roses:
“Then who may tell the rose where and when to bloom? For it takes from whatever may be its surroundings, and when encompassed even by man it does the best possible to be the beauty, to be the joy, and to give out that which is pleasing in the service to God.” – Edgar Cayce Reading 2778-2
I especially love that, “. . . when encompassed even by man . . .” Is it really that difficult for a rose to do the best possible even when encompassed by man?

Still working on the back cover copy of the Yucatan Travel Movie DVD case. How about:
“Whether you get there by air or by cruise ship, whether you rent a car as we did, travel by bus, or are part of a tour group, the Yucatan Travel Movie will show you what to expect in Yucatan.”
How’s that?

I was just thinking. The back cover description of Yucatan Travel Movie also needs something like:
“Whether you arrive in the Yucatan by flying into Cancun, as part of a tour group, or on a cruise ship, the Yucatan Travel Movie will show you what to expect when you get there.”

How about this revision of yesterday’s idea for the copy on the back cover of the Yucatan Travel Movie DVD:
“Join Miriam Balsley as she shops for colorful crafts with her Mom and Step-dad and explores sacred ground where shamans still perform traditional ceremonies.”
I like this one better. What do you think?

Today I’m mulling over back cover copy for the DVD case of the Yucatan Travel Movie. How does this sound?
“Join narrator Miriam Balsley, and her Mom and Step-dad, in this entertaining . . . occasionally amusing . . . tour of the Yucatan, a magical land full of beauty, mystery, and vacation delight.”

Today, in the midst of a busy day, I took the time to rest outside on a lawn chair and watch the breeze float through the leaves overhead. I felt happy in that half hour or so, when the heat of the day gave way to the approaching evening, and I was reminded of the Edgar Cayce quote from his trance reading 3374-1:
“. . . keep close to all of those things that have to do with outdoor activities, for it is the best way to keep yourself young-to stay close to nature. . .”
I felt delightfully rejuvenated.

Based on my past life regression sessions on the lost city of Atlantis and my travels in Yucatan, Mexico, there are indications in Mayan ruins that Atlanteans came to Yucatan. You can read about my past life memories and my Yucatan travel experiences in my book When We Were Gods by Carole Chapman.
