The Purpose of Psychic Development
I found the following quote interesting because I believe that Edgar Cayce’s purpose in giving trance readings is one of the reasons he was such a great psychic.
Cayce believed he was able to enter psychic/mediumistic trances for a reason; he could help people with them. Thus we have Cayce deciding in the early 1920’s that not only did he only want to use his gifts in this way but that his readings only really worked when his intentions were strictly benevolent.
Do you think the “sleeping prophet of Virginia Beach” would have been such a successful medical intuitive if he had had a different purpose, for example, to show people how wonderful he was with his psychic abilities?
