According to the online Wikipedia article, Supercontinent Cycle, there is a regular rhythm between the drifting apart and coming together of continents.
One complete Supercontinent cycle is said to take 300 to 500 million years to occur.
Again, I wonder if, during this ongoing drift of continents, if the legendary lost city of Atlantis and the lost continent of Lemuria fragmented, bumped up against other land masses, and eventually disappeared.

You have probably heard of Pangaea, the supercontinent that existed about 250 million years ago. It included all the present continents in one land mass.
Map of Pangaea, from an online Wikipedia article
But did you know that not only did Pangaea break up into land masses that drifted apart to form continents, but, according to an online Wikepedia article on “Pangaea:”
The breaking up and formation of supercontinents appear to be cyclical through Earth’s 4.6 billion year history.
It appears that earth’s land masses drift over the surface of the earth. I find it interesting to learn that at one time, earth’s land masses were almost all concentrated at the north and south poles with only a narrow strip of land connecting them through the equator. What a strange world that would have been!
Knowing this, it is not so far-fetched to believe that lost continents such as Atlantis and Lemuria once existed.

This sounds really good:
A new National Geographic Channel documentary, Finding Atlantis, which will be broadcast nationally on Sunday, March 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, follows a team of American, Canadian, and Spanish scientists as they employ satellite space photography, ground penetrating radar, underwater archaeology, and historical sleuthing in an effort to find a lost civilization.

I wonder how many people viewed this “hill” in Bosnia and thought it was shaped very much like a pyramid but did nothing about it. Or perhaps, because they did not have the assurance of an academic such as Dr. Sam Semir Osmanagich, they could merely say, “That sure looks like a pyramid. Someone should find out if it is.”
I wonder if it never even occurred to anyone that the three regularly shaped hills were pyramids. In any case, we are fortunate that Dr. Osmanagich investigated these “hills.” Because debris on carvings in tunnels under the pyramids have been radiocarbon dated to before 30,000 years ago, I can’t help wondering if these structures were built by Atlanteans.

How do you like that? After all these years with claims that the ruins of Atlantis were actually in all these diverse places, such as the Azores, Santorini, Cyprus, Bimini, under the Sargasso Sea, off the coast of Cuba, and even Antarctica and the East Indies, it turns out, the people who thought Atlantis was off the coast of Ireland (some even thought Ireland had been Atlantis!) were right!
A January 11, 2011 article posted on Weekly World News called Atlantis Found on Google Maps! pin-points the lost continent of Atlantis is off the coast of a tiny town in Ireland called Dingle, population 300.
Well, that’s a relief. At last, an end to all the conjecture, an end to all the exploration, an end to all the headlines saying, “Atlantis Found.” Now, it’s really found.
And wasn’t that a purrty picture from Google Maps of it in yesterday’s post?

Weekly World News reports that Google Maps has found Atlantis. In an article entitled, Atlantis found on Google Maps!, J.B. Smitts writes that:
“I’m just surprised it took so long to find,” added Braxwell.
According to sources, the Google Maps satellite was performing a routine scan of the Atlantic Ocean when it came across the strange, previously uncharted Kingdom of Atlantis.
The satellite images, which have been proven accurate to within 1/100th of a millimeter, show the island of Atlantis sitting just 10 miles southwest of Dingle, Ireland, a small township with a population of 300.
“I’ve lived here for 75 years,” said Brian MacElhose, a farmer and lifelong resident of Dingle, “and never noticed that gigantic city floating out there in the ocean. How could I have missed it? Oh well, I guess that’s what Google Maps is for.”

Weekly World News says Atlantis found by Google Maps
All that I can say is that it’s about time someone found something definite that is truly the lost city of Atlantis. There have been so many hopeful and fanciful claims, I am happy to see that not only have Google Maps found Atlantis, but they have provided actual photographs to corroborate their wonderful discovery.
I especially love how the photograph has a misty quality almost as if it is a piece of art. But what else do you expect of such a mystical, magical kingdom as Atlantis. Check out the link for the whole “photo,” which shows Atlantis off the coast of Dingle, Ireland.

As I said in my September 15 post, the Maya, when they look at the full moon, do not see a “Man in the Moon” but a “Rabbit in the Moon.”
In the nature photograph of yesterday’s full moon, I’ve taken the liberty to draw the outline of the rabbit to illustrate how it could be that the Maya see a Rabbit in the Moon.

When the Maya, whose ancestors built Chichen Itza and made the 2012 predictions, look at the moon, they see a rabbit.
On Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. (next week) I will be discussing the ancient Maya mythology of the moon goddess and her companion, the rabbit, at the Edgar Cayce Forum at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
My talk is called, The Yucatan Connection to Atlantis and Lemuria Using Cayce Clues and Mythology. Attend the Edgar Cayce Forum on September 29th and see how the myth of the Moon Goddess and the Rabbit illustrate the connection between Yucatan and Lemuria.

This is a hard one. Is the book, He Walked the Americas by L. Taylor Hansen researched anthropological fact based on Native legends or is it merely cleverly-crafted fiction?
I’m reading He Walked the Americas by L. Taylor Hansen in preparation for my September 29th talk, THE YUCATAN CONNECTION TO ATLANTIS AND LEMURIA USING CAYCE CLUES AND MYTHOLOGY for the Edgar Cayce Forum in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
However, as fascinating as the stories in the book appear, there are details that seem absolutely outlandish such as that this Pale Faced Prophet knelt to pray. The rendition of the Lord’s Prayer, Native American-style seems concocted rather than a true translation from a Native American tongue.
Therefore, I did a Google search to see if I could find a biography of L. Taylor Hansen and discovered that she made her living as a science fiction writer. Therefore, could it be that He Walked the Americas a cleverly crafted science fiction novel a la Michael Crichton’s Congo?
I also went to Amazon’s listing of the book to see if I could come across research by other readers and discovered that a reviewer that gave the book a one-star rating had contacted Stanford University and discovered that L. Taylor Hansen had never been a student there as her biography on the back of the book says.
In addition, her own Amazon review (posthumously posted on Amazon from her autobiographical memoir) says that she went to University of California at Los Angeles, went to a northern dog-sled adventure and then returned to school, I assume to Stanford but she does not say in her own autobiography. Did she, or did she not go to Stanford?
These are just some of the confusing details that make me wonder if her book is science fiction rather than actual anthropological research.
The book sure did get me excited that the Natives of the Americas had recollections of Atlantis (“the Old Red Land“) in their traditions. But, like I said, it might all be fiction.

Just thinking about my upcoming talk at the Edgar Cayce Forum in Virginia Beach, Virginia on September 29th, 7:30 PM. Numerous people who consulted Edgar Cayce for psychic readings on their past lives discovered they had had previous lifetimes in Lemuria or Atlantis. Some of these “entities,” according to Cayce, had also journeyed to Yucatan.
