Nazca Lines in Peru a helicopter landing pad rather than a Runway?

This is a topic close to my heart. I am very interested in the Nazca lines (also spelled “Nasca”) in Peru, especially after reading Erich von Daniken‘s Arrival of the Gods in which he proposes that extraterrestrials created the lines as landing sites for their space ships.

However, in spite of Mr. von Daniken’s fine theory, no one yet knows who created the amazing designs on the Nasca plains that were only recognized as images of, for example, a monkey or a hummingbird, until viewed from in an airplane.

You can’t help but wonder that whoever made the Nazca lines had to have had the ability to fly, supporting von Daniken’s theory of extraterrestrials. In addition, since the monkey’s tail creates a large circular area, I can’t help but wonder if whoever made the image flew a vehicle more like a helicopter than a winged plane or jet since the circular tail looks more like a helicopter landing pad than a runway.

Pyramid Builders Could Have Built the Queen’s Pyramids NOT the Great Pyramids

In my June 13th post entitled, I said that:

Another important discovery on the Giza Plateau in Egypt, which is the location of the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx, is interpreted as a the discovery of the graves of the builders of the Great Pyramid.

However, as I said in my book, Arrival of the Gods in Egypt, I wonder if any and all graves of pyramid builders uncovered by archeologists are builders of the Great Pyramid or of other pyramids on the Giza Plateau such as the Queens Pyramids.

Notice the three smaller pyramids in the bottom left called, “Pyramids of Queens,” or the three smaller pyramids in the middle right of the map to the right of the Pyramid of Khufu, the Great Pyramid. I am curious to know whether the archeologist know for sure which pyramids the pyramid builders built.

In my past life regression of the building of the Great Pyramid, also described in my book, Arrival of the Gods in Egypt, I saw the Great Pyramid under construction not by pyramid builders but by mind power.

Artists Create Crop Circles in Oregon

How do you like this? Art imitates life! Artists staying with farmers in Oregon will mow parts of field in patterns imitating crop circles.

Several other artists will mow large patters — similar to crop circles — into the landscape, then view them from an airplane at the end of the week.

Artists Retreat Begins This Weekend

When I first saw this Hometowns article, I thought it was going to be the usual thing where people come forward and say they are the ones who were creating the crop circles. But no, these are people showing their appreciation for the crop circles by creating their own. I wonder how close they man made crop circles will be to the mysterious ones that appear overnight. I wonder how long it will take the artists to create their crop circles – overnight, a couple of hours, days . . . and will they be beautifully symmetrical?

Unexcavated Mayan Ruins in Izamal Yucatan

In yesterday’s blog post I said that University of New Mexico anthropologists are using laser technology and remote sensing from aircraft to search in Belize for unexcavated Mayan ruins that they may choose to explore in the future.

In the Yucatan Travel Movie, we videotaped vegetation-covered mounds that appeared to be unexcavated Mayan ruins in the lovely colonial town of Izamal. We could see the mounds from the summit of Kinich Kak Moo, the tallest pyramid in the state of Yucatan, which is in the town of Izamal.

Mayan Ruin in Belize Excavated by UNM Students

An article by Karen Wentworth says that Keith Prufer, assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico will be taking students to study a relatively small but active Mayan ruin in the lowlands of Belize. This ruin, called Uxbenka, like Tulum in the Yucatan Travel Movie, traded with other Mayan centers.

This year, thanks to a grant from the Alphawood Foundation, they will have electronic equipment to analyze the com position of artifacts they find in the Mayan ruin. “It should tell us where materials like the obsidian we are finding came from, because it was traded a long way. Some came from Mexico, some from Guatemala,” Prufer said. “We can work out trade routes and sources of materials with it.”

Professor Uses High Tech to Uncover Mayan Ruins

Gone are the days when anthropologists relied on the knowledge of modern-day Maya and chicklet harvesters to direct them to unexcavated Mayan ruins. Today, they can also use airplanes equipped with LIDAR or laser technology that allows them to comb the Yucatan jungle from above using remote sensing.

UFO Follows Jet Over Virginia

According to an online UFO Examiner report by Roger Marsh, a UFOologist and independent filmmaker:

A Virginia witness watched a teardrop-shaped object following in the vapor trail of a jet on June 12, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The object seemed to keep pace with the jet, but stayed a good distance behind, the witness stated. The object was shorter than the plane, but larger in diameter.

The witness said that:

IT WAS KEEPING PACE AND WOULD MOVE ABOVE, BELOW AND TO THE SIDE OF THE PLANE BUT KEEPING A GOOD DISTANCE BEHIND.

IT MOVED ABOVE THE PLANES TRAIL AND THEN MADE A SUDDEN AND STEEP ARC LIKE CLIMB AND VANISHED INTO THIN AIR. GONE!! THERE WAS NOT A CLOUD IN THE SKY. THE OBJECT WAS NOT REFLECTING LIGHT LIKE THE PLANE WAS. IT SEEMED TO BE VERY OPAQUE AND VERY TEAR DROPPED IN SHAPE.

Pyramid Builders’ Tombs Discovered in Giza

Another important discovery on the Giza Plateau in Egypt, which is the location of the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx, is interpreted as a the discovery of the graves of the builders of the Great Pyramid.

Graves of the pyramid builders were first discovered in the area in 1990 when a tourist on horseback stumbled over a wall that later proved to be a tomb. Egypt’s archaeology chief Zahi Hawass said that discovery and the latest finds last week show that the workers were paid laborers, rather than the slaves of popular imagination.
