Do Mayan Shamans believe the world will end in 2012?

Here’s a description of my upcoming talk at the Edgar Cayce Forum on October 26, 2011 at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Do Mayan Shamans believe the world will end in 2012?

Carol Chapman wondered what the Maya had to say about 2012. After all, it is a Mayan prophecy that originated all the speculation about December 21, 2012. Were the modern-day Maya preparing for the end of the world? If so, were they afraid or fatalistic? Or, did they even know about the ancient Mayan prophecy? Could it be that all the media about 2012 was only an American phenomenon?

Therefore, while shooting video footage for the Yucatan Travel Movie: Cancun to Chichen Itza, she also interviewed every-day Maya and Mayan Shamans. These interviews became the nucleus of her upcoming presentation: Do Mayan Shamans believe the world will end in 2012? She will be giving her PowerPoint program at the Edgar Cayce Forum on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Her presentation will include videotaped interviews, an explanation of the Maya’s fascinating and complicated calendar system, the actual ancient Mayan prophecy, as well as psychic revelations about the Maya from the trance readings of “the sleeping prophet” Edgar Cayce. For example, the Cayce Atlantis readings say that Atlanteans journeyed to Yucatan, the home of the Maya. Could the ancient Maya’s mathematical and astronomical prowess be the result of their Atlantis connection?

New Age metaphysical author and filmmaker Carol Chapman has traveled four times to the Yucatan and once to Egypt searching for indications that Atlanteans traveled to these locations. She used both her past life regression memories and the trance readings of the American seer Edgar Cayce to guide her explorations. She wrote of her adventures in When We Were Gods and Arrival of the Gods in Egypt.

Cyprus festival of the flood filmed by Atlantis researcher

Robert Sarmast is returning to Cyprus in his third attempt to locate the ruins of the lost city of Atlantis on the sea floor between Cyprus and Syria. Here’s an excerpt from the online Cyprus Mail article:

Sarmast said yesterday he wanted to be here for the Kataklysmos festival, or the ‘festival of the flood’. This will be held islandwide next weekend.

“The Kataklysmos festival is really about the great flood that sunk Atlantis, so it’s not surprising to me that the celebrations are unique to Cyprus,” said Sarmast.

Atlanteans visited Yucatan

I am fascinated by the concept that Atlanteans traveled to lands that presently exist. This means that, even though the lost city of Atlantis was destroyed by natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis, there could still be evidence of the lost continent of Atlantis in the places Atlanteans visited. Here’s an Edgar Cayce reading saying that Atlanteans traveled to what now called Yucatan:

“. . . In that land known as the Atlantean . . . When there was the journeying of many . . . To that portion of the sphere now known as Yucatan.”

I write about my experiences looking for evidence of Atlanteans in Yucatan in my book When We Were Gods.

Atlantis found in the Mediterranean off Cyprus

Whoopee!! Another “Atlantis found,” and the announcement comes so close after the “Atlantis found” in Spain earlier this year. This latest lost city of Atlantis is underwater in the Mediterranean Sea. The Famagusta Gazette proclaims that:

Explorer Robert Sarmast is returning to Cyprus today to film a television programme. In 2004 Sarmast claimed to have found the legendary city of Atlantis, saying that by using sonar scans he was able to find man-made walls that matched Plato’s description of the structures.

If somebody actually ever finds the real Atlantis, I will be soooo surprised!

Travel in the Bermuda Triangle for a supernatural adventure

A CNN Travel article suggests that if you are contemplating a holiday that includes sailing and are interested in a “supernatural slant,” that you consider one of four places:
1. The Bermuda Triangle off the coast of Florida
2. The Sargasso Sea, a warm area swarming with seaweed in the Atlantic Ocean
3. The Devil’s Triangle, off the coast of Japan
4. The Michigan Triangle, centered around Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes.

The article says about the Bermuda Triangle:

A raft of books, like “The Devil’s Triangle,” “Limbo of the Lost,” and “The Riddle of the Bermuda Triangle” all contained supernatural explanations — from UFOs to “wormholes” to technology left over from the mythical lost continent of Atlantis.

Were the “Divine Men” in Atlantis aliens?

In my last post I quoted a May 26, 2011 comment on the Godlike Productions website saying that Plato said that both men and “Divine Men” inhabited Atlantis. The writer of the post assumed that the “Divine Men” were extraterrestrials.

Interestingly, in my past life regressions of my reincarnation memories of Atlantis, I called myself a goddess and said that I was from Arcturus.

You can read about my adventures, and my quest to find evidence of Atlanteans in Egypt in my book Arrival of the Gods in Egypt.

“Divine Men” in Atlantis

Have you ever heard of this:

Plato stated that Atlantis was inhabited by humans and “divine men” …
Godlike Productions

I saw this on a website called Godlike Productions as part of a forum thread called, Was the Chicxulub “crater site” really the lost city of Atlantis? Check this out. This was part of a post by Anonymous Coward 1401421 posted on May 26, 2011.

Interesting, right? “Divine men.” I have read excerpts from Plato’s Timaeus and Critias but have not studied the texts where Plato describes the lost continent of Atlantis, therefore, I do not know if this reference to “divine men” is accurate.

However, if it is, it coincides with the Edgar Cayce readings on Atlantis in which Cayce refers to god-like beings who populated Atlantis.

In fact, during past life regression, I had memories of being an Atlantean goddess. You can read about my experiences in my book, When We Were Gods: Insights on Atlantis, Past Lives, Angelic Beings of Light, and Spiritual Awakening.

Ever heard of underwater art depicting Atlantis?

Well, I hadn’t heard of underwater sculpture of the lost continent of Atlantis before. However, it appears that a local artist named Foots is building a concrete image of what his imagination believes was once the lost city of Atlantis. It includes sculptures of Atlanteans. But, it is 40 to 50 feet deep in the Caribbean sea at the Cayman Islands.

Now in his 50s, Foots has stated that he has been obsessed with the myth of Atlantis since he was a small boy. Working almost entirely by himself, Foots has already completed a number of giant sculptures and laid the foundation for Atlantis
