An American Bimbo in Yucatan

This is a great book, An American Bimbo in Yucatan, which my publishing company, SunTopaz LLC, will be publishing soon. However, I wonder about the title. It is a fantastic true story of a woman from Oregon who moves to Yucatan, meets and marries a Mayan man, and has lived in a Mayan village for the last 19 years.

I fear the “American Bimbo” in the title sounds too much like a clueless, ignorant, unkind blonde disrepecting the Mayan people. In reality, she is very grateful for all she has learned from the Mayan villagers.

But, she is blonde and she did start out pretty clueless. Maybe a better title would be “An Oregon Bimbo in Yucatan.” What do you think?

Yucatan, One of Top Three Spiritual Travel Destinations

I like this excerpt because it implies that Yucatan is one of the top three destinations for spiritual travel, on a level with the Vatican and Egypt:

Fond Memories of Yucatan

Today, while working on last year’s taxes, I find that every “recebo” from Yucatan brings back delicious, happy, enjoyable memories of my visit there while filming the Yucatan Travel Movie.

Yucatan Memories in Photographs

I am in the process of working on publishing a personal experience book of a woman’s story of living in the Yucatan with a Mayan husband for the last 18 years. It is a heartwarming and also informational book. In going over her photographs, I am happy and nostalgic for the wonderful people we met in Yucatan.

The next travel movie, which will be about the Yucatan including the Chichen Itza Equinox, Merida, and Palenque, will be called Yucatan Travel Adventure.

Today, we are working on the narration to accompany the video footage of Cancun and Chichen Itza in the Yucatan Travel Movie. Miriam Balsley, the narrator, and I are having fun and getting a lot done.

First Day of Narration

It went well. Always some apprehension starting, but once we got going, I felt happy and confident that the narration with Miriam Balsley would be a success . . . and, it was. Now, we have another few days to continue the narration for the Yucatan Travel Movie.
