Such a satisfying day tightening up the editing on the Yucatan Travel Movie to go with the accompanying music. So much fun. I worked on the Playa del Carmen beach and pelican scene and the car ferry voyage from the Yucatan mainland to Cozumel Island.

After a number of days away from editing the Yucatan Travel Movie, I am returning to the joyful exercise of choosing video clips on Cozumel Island, trimming the clips to their most effect length, putting them together, followed by the great fun of adding music to the scenes.

One of the hardest parts of creating the Yucatan Travel Movie has been finding good background music that is has rights available to me. All the popular music that is readily available in stores in copyrighted.
I have had to look to local musicians and composers . . . with wonderful results. The music I have found is fantastic. Today, I go to record a piece by a woman who is an organist at a local church. She is also a composer. The piece is for organ and oboe. It is also great when played on the piano and oboe. It has a moody Spanish-sounding tango in it. Ole!

Besides being one of the most sacred places for the ancient Maya, Isla Cozumel is a great destination for snorkellers and deep sea divers. When we were there a year ago, people were snorkelling beside an outdoor seaside restaurant, images of which will be in the Yucatan Travel Movie.

I am looking forward to my upcoming work editing the section on Isla Cozumel in the Yucatan Travel Movie. It was the most sacred spot of the ancient Maya. Today, I received help for choosing the Cinescore for the music underlying the video of the scene with the fishing boats bobbing in the water and pelicans diving around them in the sea at Playa del Carmen.

Wouldn’t you know it! My computer had a seize up today. I was putting music to the delightful scenes of people traipsing through the rain on the brick streets of Playa del Carmen when the cursor stopped moving. It set me back hours.
Very frustrating. At first, it appeared as if I had lost all the work I had done earlier today on the Yucatan Travel Movie.
However, I am happy to say that my dear friends at Dell Gold Tech Support came to the rescue. They not only got my computer working again, but also, they were able to salvage the work I had done earlier in today. They also resolved some other issues I had been putting up with.
In fact, I am happy and grateful for the help I received. The down side of all this? It all took time.
