In Seward, Alaska, at the Russian Shop
I love coming here. Today, I bought amber earrings from the Baltic sea that were put together in Poland.
Because Alaska used to be owned by Russia, there are still Russian named towns such as Soldatna, Russian churches and cemeteries, Samovar Tea Shops, and this lovely Russian shops where I try to visit everytime I am here.
They also have those dolls that fit into each other and Russian fairy tale books, scarves, super warm fur hats. It is wonderful.
The scenery in Seward is also lovely with snow-capped mountains meeting ocean – definite photo ops.
