We flew into Terrace, which was like a totally different world compared to Victoria’s waterfront flowers and tourists. Now, we’re in Port Hardy after spending the day yesterday on a cruise-ship type ferry going from Prince Rupert. We enjoyed the gorgeous northern views and overate at the scrumptious buffets.
Today, we’re spending another day going on the Northern Expedition going back to Prince Rupert and then driving through mist-enshrouded mountains back to Terrace and then on to visit my girlfriend who works with the First Nations people of the Nass River, the Nisga’a, some of whom are totem pole carvers.

My husband John and I toured around Rainier National Park today. Beautiful vistas and great photos of the mountain. Amazing that it is a volcano!

As you know, I will be presenting Atlantis and its Colony in Egypt in Portland, Oregon, this Saturday, July 18th at Raymond and Nobie Tarpey’s place, 2481 Marylshire Lane, Lake Oswego, Oregon, contact Nobie Tarpey at (503)697-8341, nobtarpey@yahoo.com.
More information about this and the following program in Anchorage Alaska can be found on my speaker web site at http://www.CaroleChapman.com/Events.html.
You may not know that I will in Anchorage, Alaska presenting a new program on August 14, 15, and 16. It is called Everyone Has a Book in Them. This seminar is both an opportunity to explore your creativity with both writing and photography and also a practical “how to” get your ideas into a book, published and promoted.
I decided to create this new program because of the emphasis Edgar Cayce puts on creativity as an expression of soul that is as powerful as the psychic. Since everyone can write, I thought it was a good place to start.
Because I am a non-fiction spirituality writer, I am also bringing my friend, national award-winning mystery writer Jean C. Keating to talk about the fiction end of book authoring.
Perhaps you’d like to join Jean and me in Alaska on August 14, 15 and 16 at the A.T.O.M. Center on 425 Raspberry Road in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a lovely time of year to vacation in one of the most beautiful wilderness destinations in North America.
Make a week of it and explore Alaska as well as your creativity! After the class, you can practice your writing and photography while vacationing in Alaska. You can write about your experiences and take photographs to illustrate your writing. Or just use your experiences in Alaska to relax your mind so you can more easily write that book you’ve been meaning to write.
For details about fees and the schedule of the Alaska program, go to the Everyone Has a Book in Them web site (there’s an early registration discount special!).

In reference to my post yesterday, about the two young raccoons that turned up in our yard yesterday evening: Today, I had a chance to review the photographs John, my husband, and I took of the youngsters.
They are gorgeous! Maybe I will include a photograph of the raccoons in next year’s Edgar Cayce Calendar.

Here’s an excerpt from my February 25, 2009, post on this blog:
I am so happy because last night – actually between 4 and 5 AM – I finally got a photograph of the galactic center. It is so cool!!!
You can see Sagittarius and the tail of Scorpio right beside it. And, there, glowing quietly, the galactic center.
2012 Photograph of the Galactic Center — Carol Chapman
If you are new to my Carol Chapman blog site and you are interested in reading a description of photographing the Galactic Center, you will find details of my own experiences photographing the Galactic Center in my February 21 to March 2, 2009 posts here on this web site: http://www.CarolChapmanLive.com.
My Galactic Center photographs are part of my PowerPoint presentation on “2012, Edgar Cayce and the Maya.” I took my Galactic Center photographs at the Florida Keys Winter Star Party, which is sponsored by the Southern Cross Astronomical Society,

I am so happy that the 2010 Edgar Cayce Calendar: Divine in Nature , with its gorgeous nature photography and the wonderful inspirational quotes from Edgar Cayce, is at the printer’s.
That means it will likely be ready for that big week in June when A.R.E. members gather at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Virginia, for Congress. That is my goal – to have the calendar there for all those enthusiastic A.R.E. members.

I’ve worked and worked and worked all day today on the 2010 Edgar Cayce Calendar. All of the photography pages are ready. The calendar pages are finished and out for proofing at the Edgar Cayce Foundation to make sure I have quoted Edgar Cayce’s inspirational readings accurately. The front and back cover are done. The title page is done. I just couldn’t get the inside front cover finished tonight. It’s time to call it quits and pick up where I left off tomorrow.
