Gorgeous Tulum!

I think I might have overdone the number of cutaways to gorgeous Tulum seascapes . . . but, there are so many fantastic photographic images from this beautiful archeological site in Quintana Roo, Mexico, along the Mayan Riviera, I am finding it difficult to limit the number I use. These are the kinds of problems I love while editing the Yucatan Travel Movie.

A BETTER EMAIL ADDRESS FOR ME

For the last month and a half, I have been have a terrible time with my emails and web sites. Therefore, if you have been trying to reach me at my usual email address of Carol@CarolChapmanLive.com, and have received no reply, it is because I have stopped going to the library in an attempt connect to those emails. It is taking too much of my time to go to the library all the time. Unforunately, I cannot reach them on my home computer.

In an attempt to rectify the problem, I have consulted my internet provider, my web site hoster, and my computer tech people with no results.

The problem is that the difficulties are intermittent. Occasionally, I can get onto my web sites and email adddresses. Many days, I cannot. Or if I can get on, shortly afterward, I lose the connection. Very frustrating. During the times I can get on, like now, I work like the wind to get things done.

My solution, is to give you another email address where you can reach me. It is: CarolChapman@SunTopaz.com.

In the past, if you sent me an email that has not been answered, please send it to CarolChapman@SunTopaz.com where I will receive it and reply to you.

    Many blessings,

    Carol Chapman

  • Inspirational Quotes Wallpaper Almost Ready!

Well, it has taken two days but the new computer wallpapers, soon to be available at Inspirational Quotes Wallpaper, are almost ready!

My favorite is on my computer now. It shows two daffodils almost bowed by the force of the snow and cold, that, nonetheless, keep their blooms intact in spite of the difficult circumstances they are in.

The encouraging Edgar Cayce quote that is embedded in the image is:

May we indeed inculcate in the lives of others that like the rose, that like the baby breath, like every flower that blooms. For it does its best with what has been given it by man, to glorify its Maker with all its beauty, its color, with all of its love for the appreciation of spring, of the rain, the sunshine, the shadows.” That inspirational quotation is excerpted from Edgar Cayce Reading 5122-1.

This “Daffodils Triumph over Cold and Snow” computer wallpaper is the nature photograph and inspirational quote that goes with the March 2010 calendar page of the Edgar Cayce Calendar.

Moose at Speaking Event in Anchorage

A Mother Moose and her Calf frolic past the door of the ATOM Center

A Mother Moose and her Calf frolic past the door of the ATOM Center in Anchorage, Alaska

I have been trying to get a photograph of a moose since my honeymoon 15 years ago. We went to Newfoundland where it was cool in July compared to the steamy summer weather in the South.

The whole time we were in Newfoundland, I drove with the camera on my knee hoping to get a great nature photograph of a moose.

On the highway, we saw one far in the distance munching on water plants in a swamp. However, we sped by it in the car too quickly to take a photo.

As a result, we decided to ply the many secondary by-ways, and even ventured on a few gravel roads, always searching for that elusive moose.

Now, 15 years later, this mother moose and her youngster appeared at my doorstep 15 minutes before my speaking event, “Everyone Has a Book in Them,” a two-day workshop program in the ATOM Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The Alaskans, who had arrived for the program early, thought that likely the mother and her baby were on their way to a nearby lake. It seems that moose events are rather common in Anchorage.

The ATOM Center is in town at 4025 Raspberry Road, kiddie-corner and behind the Tastee Freeze. And here they were – mama and baby! Definitely an auspicious event just as the program was about to begin!

At it turned out, it was a wonderful weekend where I met creative, energetic people who are excited about getting their ideas out of their heads and onto the pages of a book.

    Flying to Alaska Today

I’ll arrive in Anchorage today. For a number of days, I will be traveling on the Kenai Peninsula taking photographs for next year’s Edgar Cayce Calendar

Then, starting on Friday, August 14, at 7:00 p.m., I will be sharing my knowledge, expertise, and experience on the intuitive connection with the Creative Forces through dreams in a free program, The Dream Connection, followed by the weekend seminar, “Everyone Has a Book in Them.”

Photo of Black-tailed Buck with Antlers

Remember I said I became so excited that, when I tried to take the photograph of the deer in the woods, I did something wrong with the settings on my camera with the result that only a black image came up on the digital feedback screen of my camera?

Well, it turned out that I was able to get an image by using the photo processing software on my home computer.

Here it is. Isn’t he magnificent!

By the way, although it looks as if he might be a metaphysical deer because his eyes are glowing, the glow is actually caused by the flash from my camera.

    Silver Fox Pups Photo

Here’s a photograph of the silver fox pups on the side of the road.

Actually, I do not really know if their are specifically “silver” foxes. I called them silver foxes in my last post because their mother, who is not in the photo, has long silver fur on her body.

Note the white tip on the end of the tail.

Two fox pups we encountered on the road between Kinkolith and New Aiyansh in northern British Columbia, Canada. This is an area that is as far north as the Alaska panhandle and very worth visiting for the magnificent mountain and river scenery, wildlife and, this time of year, salmon fishing.
