Maya Riviera a Popular Vacation Spot

At a get together last night, someone mentioned the Maya Riviera and everyone knew what she meant. When I think that Cancun didn’t even exist in 1974, it is amazing how popular vacations on the Yucatan Caribbean are today. I felt happy because the Yucatan Travel Movie is a great introduction to Cancun and the Maya Riviera.

Many Destinations Close to Cancun

From Cancun, you can find many destinations of interest, such as Playa del Carmen and Isla Cozumel as well as the ancient Mayan ruins at Tulum and Coba. The Yucatan Travel Movie shows what you can expect when you visit these locations. For example, do you know that the ancient Mayan ruins at Tulum are on a cliff overlooking some of the best beaches on the Maya Riviera? Or, that many people come to Coba for the birdwatching, rather than the ruins?

Akumal: Quieter than Cancun

If you’re heading to Cancun, with a view to enjoying the Maya Riviera, the following travel blog post suggests you head south to Akumal. The Yucatan Travel Movie includes footage of visits to both Cancun and the turquoise waters of Akumal.

Gorgeous Tulum!

I think I might have overdone the number of cutaways to gorgeous Tulum seascapes . . . but, there are so many fantastic photographic images from this beautiful archeological site in Quintana Roo, Mexico, along the Mayan Riviera, I am finding it difficult to limit the number I use. These are the kinds of problems I love while editing the Yucatan Travel Movie.

Still Working on Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen also has fantastic beaches. It is on the aqua-watered Maya Riviera. I’ll be integrating the footage from the beach scenes next into the Yucatan Travel Movie.

I’ve been concentrating on integrating the footage on Playa del Carmen into the Yucatan Travel Video. Playa is the fastest growing city on the Maya Riviera. It is also a great place for shopping.
