Inspirational quote from Edgar Cayce

Every once in a while I find my mind locked into some worry, some recrimination of myself, some criticism of someone else, and I try to get my mind to go elsewhere, but often fail. This fantastic prayer has been a wonderful help in moving my mind to become hopeful:

“When fear of the future occurs, or fear of the past, or fear of what others will say–put all such away with this prayer–not merely by mouth, not merely by thought, but in body, in mind and in soul say, ‘Here am I, Lord–Thine! Keep me in the way Thou would have me go, rather than in that I might choose.'”

Edgar Cayce Quote on “Ugly Ducklings”

Here is the inspirational quotation from Edgar Cayce that accompanied yesterday’s blog post nature photograph of swans. This Cayce quote appeared in the 2009 Edgar Cayce Calendar for the month of September:

“And what a wonderful characteristic, – to see the beauty even in that which in the eyes of others would be ugly! That which is the Lord’s, and the fullness of the earth is His, has its beauty – if it is sought.”

    Edgar Cayce Reading 2787-1

In yesterday’s photograph of the swans, the two “ugly ducklings” or immature swans are the two large gray goose-like waterfowl to the right and in front of the beautiful white mature swan.

Edgar Cayce Reading 317-7

I chose the above inspirational quote for the June 2008 Divine in Nature Edgar Cayce Calendar because I love the quote. But, it wasn’t until to day that I noticed that the all-wise, all-merciful providence is a consciousness in the soul and mind of every individual . . . every individual. Wow! Until today, I only saw as far as the perfect reflection being in nature.

Inspirational Cayce Quote

I really love this inspirational Edgar Cayce quote about roses:

“Then who may tell the rose where and when to bloom? For it takes from whatever may be its surroundings, and when encompassed even by man it does the best possible to be the beauty, to be the joy, and to give out that which is pleasing in the service to God.”Edgar Cayce Reading 2778-2

I especially love that, “. . . when encompassed even by man . . .” Is it really that difficult for a rose to do the best possible even when encompassed by man?
