Many of the residents of a 300,000 population Siberian City saw this giant UFO. Follow the link to the photo. People managed to get the UFO photos with their cell phones.

On February 15th of this year at around 6pm the residents of the south eastern Siberian city of Chita (population around 300,000) in Russia witnessed a giant UFO cross their city and then disappear over the horizon. Some managed to photograph the craft with their mobile phones. Shocked pedestrians stopped in the town centre and in parks and pointed to sky declaring the object to be a UFO. Above is a photo of the craft.

Crop Circles Man Made?

The writer of this a comment on a blog appears to know the history of crop circles and that they have been made by humans, right from the beginning.

“In 1991, more than a decade after the phenomenon began, two men from Southampton, England announced that the phenomenon of crop circles was an idea thought up one evening in a pub near Winchester, Hampshire in 1978. World War II veteran Doug Bower and his friend Dave Chorley revealed that they made their crop circles using planks, rope, hats and wire as their only tools. Bower and Chorley stated to reporters that a small group of people can stomp down a sizable area of crop in a single night using simple tools.

The pair became slightly frustrated that their work had not received as much publicity as they had hoped. In 1981 they created a crop circle in Matterley Bowl, a natural amphitheatre just outside Winchester, Hampshire – an area surrounded by roads from which a clear view of the field is available to drivers passing by.

Bower’s wife had become increasingly suspicious of him due to noticing high levels of mileage in their car. Eventually, fearing that his wife suspected him of adultery, Bower confessed to her and subsequently informed a British national newspaper.”

Gorgeous Photos of UFO-like Lenticular Clouds

Here’s a web site that has a number of stunningly-beautiful surreal photographs of clouds that look like gigantic flying saucers.

Lenticular clouds have been mistaken for UFOs (or “visual cover” for UFOs) because these clouds have a characteristic lens appearance and smooth saucer-like shape.

Lenticular Clouds – Crystalinks

Included among these nature photographs is the photograph of the lenticular cloud above Mount Rainier in Washington State mentioned in my earlier post today. It’s a NASA photograph taken today, February 3, 2009, and is the Astronomy Picture of the Day.

Amazing Cloud Formation Looks Like UFOs

Take a look at these clouds. They’re amazing! They look just like funnels. I can see how a person could think they were flying saucers. If I was standing in the valley beside this mountain, and I saw those clouds, I’d definitely feel afraid that they were UFOs

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s–a UFO over Yellowstone National Park.  No, here it looks like  a fleet of UFOs over Washington state.

Space News Examiner: UFO look-alikes: lenticular clouds put on a sky show

The article on the Atlanta online newspaper Examiner goes on to say that the flying saucer look-alikes are actually multilayered lenticular clouds, which are formed when moist air is forced to flow upward around mountain tops.

England UFO Safari Tour

Evidently there is an area of England, along the southwest seacoast, where UFOs are so prevalent that they even have UFO tours in the area.

Most records of UFOs are of nighttime encounters. Crafts have been described as circular/oval, dirigible/cigar-shaped or triangular. The speed of travel, according to reports, varies greatly, from hovering and very slow to unconventionally fast.

Take a UFO safari tour of the Seacoast

I’ve been to this part of England, especially in Exeter, and wish I had known that this was a hotspot for UFOs while I was there.

Denmark opens its UFO archives

The Danish Air Force has opened its archives of over 15,000 UFO sightings collected over the last 30 years saying that there was nothing secret in the files. An air force spokesman said that the UFOs are not considered a threat to the country. Descriptions of most of the sightings were not precise enough to determine what they were. However, some were precise enough to rule out aircraft, weather phenomena, weather balloons, or paper lanterns such as the following UFO which was sighted over Greenland:

Not all of the sightings were centred over Denmark and one event over Greenland is attracting attention.
On the 5 January, 1981 at 12:50 a flaming, square disc was seen approximately 45 degrees over the frozen land near Thule Air Base. It then vanished as suddenly as it had appeared.
Coincidentally, radar stations at the American base recorded an unidentified flying object on its radar at 12:50.

Were UFOs Spotted over Rossendale Aliens?

Here’s a report of alien spaceships flying over a town in the United Kingdom:

IS this picture proof that aliens flew over Rossendale?

The picture was taken by Colin Trippier, of Rawtenstall, after he spotted lights flying over his house.

The sighting is just one of a series of UFO reports from Rossendale, which started when Peter Green spotted nine lights flying in a diamond formation.

Were UFOs spotted over Rossendale aliens – or Chinese lanterns? (From Lancashire Telegraph)

It’s a good example of the presumptions we make because the article goes on to say that another person in the area took the initiative of looking at the “UFOs” with binoculars. Anne Walmsley, of Rawtenstall reports:

“We looked at them with binoculars and they were Chinese lanterns.”

Is it a Space Ship or a Sleigh Drawn by Eight Reindeer!

Isn’t this cute. It’s from Kent in the United Kingdom in a newspaper that writes about UFOs. I love these spoofs about Santa, or I mean Kris Kringle I think he’s called in the UK, and his reindeer being UFOs.

The truth may be out there, and it could be over the skies of Kent during Christmas following reports of mysterious UFOs.
One happened at 8.30pm on Christmas Day when a resident said they saw “four silent lights”.

Is the Martian Moon Phobos a Satellite Made by Martians?

Today I found the origin of the theory that the moons of Mars, Deimos and Phobos, or anyway, Phobos might be hollow and therefore artificially made satellites.

In the late 1950s and 1960s, the unusual orbital characteristics of Phobos led to speculations that it might be a hollow artificial object.

Around 1958, Russian astrophysicist Iosif Samuilovich Shklovsky, studying the secular acceleration of Phobos’ orbital motion, suggested a “thin sheet metal” structure for Phobos, a suggestion which led to speculations that Phobos was of artificial origin.[

Phobos (moon) – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The article goes on to say that “S. Fred Singer, then science advisor to U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, came out in support of Shklovsky’s theory, stating that ‘[Phobos’] purpose would probably be to sweep up radiation in Mars’ atmosphere, so that Martians could safely operate around their planet.'”

“Very interesting,” is all I can say.
