Stories about Life

Kristine Ellingson tells her stories about life in Tales from the Yucatan Jungle. She describes how she needs to get away after a devastating marriage breakup, but she doesn’t lose heart.

Instead, she goes to a place that is like a magnet to her, the Uxmal ruin site in Yucatan Mexico. There, a new life greets her. A coincidental meeting brings her together with a kind and helpful Mayan man who becomes her husband. In Tales from the Yucatan Jungle, Kristine tells her amazing stories about life while living in a Mayan village in the Yucatan jungle.

These are stories most people in the modern world won’t encounter, such as caring for dying loved ones where there are no hospitals or funeral homes, living in a rural traditional family compound, and participating in a shamanic ceremony to heal the land.
