Atlanteans in Yucatan

Based on my past life regression sessions on the lost city of Atlantis and my travels in Yucatan, Mexico, there are indications in Mayan ruins that Atlanteans came to Yucatan. You can read about my past life memories and my Yucatan travel experiences in my book When We Were Gods by Carole Chapman.

Inspirational Food Quote from George Santayana

Here’s another delightful inspirational quote from the menu of the Japanese restaurant. It’s by George Santayana, an American philosopher and poet. He was born Jorge Agustín Nicolás Ruiz de Santayana y Borrás on December 16, 1863 in Avila, Spain, and died in the U.S. in 1950 at the age of 88.

“There is nothing to which men, while they have food and drink, cannot reconcile themselves.”

I find this quote less amusing that yesterday’s George Bernard Shaw quote and more thought provoking.

Inspirational Food Quote from George Bernard Shaw

While having lunch at a great Japanese restaurant with friends and family, I was delighted and amused to discover this great inspirational quote from the English playwrite George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) on their menu:

“There is no love sincerer than the love of food”

As we savored sushi and terriyaki, I had to agree!

Maya Riviera a Popular Vacation Spot

At a get together last night, someone mentioned the Maya Riviera and everyone knew what she meant. When I think that Cancun didn’t even exist in 1974, it is amazing how popular vacations on the Yucatan Caribbean are today. I felt happy because the Yucatan Travel Movie is a great introduction to Cancun and the Maya Riviera.

Composer Delighted with Yucatan Travel Movie

I am happy to say that feedback from Bill Head, composer and musician who allowed me to use his song, Blue Line, in the Yucatan Travel Movie, was enthusiastic after viewing an advance copy of the movie. Bill is also in the band Headband.

Wonderful Discussion on the Need to Refrain from Anger

Last night I had a great discussion with a friend who has read the manuscript of Have Your Heart’s Desire: Tools for a Happier, Healthier, Wealthier Life, one of my books which will be published soon. She said that she appreciated a story in that book because she now understood why we must refrain from holding onto anger. She had heard it before – that we need to release anger - but hadn’t understood why before. I felt happy that she had benefited from reading the manuscript because that had been my intent in writing the book – to share experiences that helped me with others with the hope of giving them inspiration to better their lives.

WXGM 99.1 FM Radio Interview also Brought in Viewers

We are also grateful for Miriam Balsley’s interview with Neal Steele on WXGM 99.1 Xtra because a couple of people attended the Gloucester Library screening of the Yucatan Travel Movie who probably came as a result of hearing the interview on the radio.

More Thank Yous

I’m also very happy and grateful for the wonderful article in the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal by Sherry Hamilton. Many people said they learned of the Yucatan Travel Movie‘s screening from the newspaper.

A Day for Thank Yous

Today I’m writing thank you letters to the many people who made the premiere screening of the Yucatan Travel Movie at Gloucester Library such a success. I especially appreciate Ginny Snowden at Gloucester Library who arranged the event, designed the posters and introduced the program yesterday. She was great!

A Wonderful Debut of the Yucatan Travel Movie

We had a full house at Gloucester Library today for the first screening of the Yucatan Travel Movie. I was thrilled that five people even came from “Southside” – Norfolk and Virginia Beach – south of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. That’s a long drive! It was wonderful to see everyone who attended. And, the question/answer period was lively and interesting. I also loved the fantastic introduction Gloucester librarian Ginny Snowden gave us and the movie. A warm welcome!
